Our room was great, had a comfy queen bed and awesome views. the room had a cool old-school vibe, making it easy to get around. We had a shared bathroom, which was fine. the hotel's location is ideal, situated at the foot of a hill. 🌟

The budget twin room was well maintained and good. Appreciated its garden views. The location was magnificent and unbeatable, just next door to the lake shore, other venues in Vitznau, and cafés, restaurants and bakeries/shops.

We only stayed for one night, but everything was pretty good. The room had a cool, vintage vibe and was equipped with smoke detectors. We had a shared bathroom, but it had all the essentials we needed. 😊

The property was perfect for our family stay, with various amenities that kept everyone entertained. The common TV room provided a cozy space for family movie nights, while the two fireplaces added a touch of warmth and comfort. The table football and table tennis facilities were a hit with the kids, allowing them to engage in friendly competitions and unleash their competitive spirit. We also appreciated the children's playground, which provided endless fun and laughter for the little ones. The fact that one child from 0 to 2 years gets to stay in a child's cot/crib made our stay even more convenient. We loved that there were activities such as cycling and canoeing available, allowing us to explore the beautiful surroundings with our family.
My wife says that it would have been even better if the property had a small indoor play area dedicated specifically to young children.

Had a great Easter weekend here! Loved the friendly and helpful staff, especially Manuela Haupt and her husband. They gave us useful travel tips and even helped us when we got lost. the location was perfect, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed the snowfall on our last night too.
Breakfast could have been better, with more variety each day. our room was quite far from the main building and didn't have its own bathroom.

Our stay at the hostel was absolutely exceptional. The highlight of our trip to Switzerland, the 500-year-old chalet offered breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne and the snow-capped mountain peaks. The location was perfect, allowing us to enjoy both the peacefulness of the countryside and the bustling city life. The common rooms provided a cozy atmosphere where we could socialize with other guests, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed the convenience of being able to purchase wine on-site. Although we missed out on dinner, the breakfast more than made up for it with its delicious spread. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hostel.
While our stay was almost perfect, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. This information should be more transparent to avoid any confusion.
